Data deletion request

1. Overview
This page explains how to request deletion of your data from Amargi. Two channels: self-service from inside the product (fastest, 7 days), or email to contact@amargicreative.com (manual, up to 30 days).
Deletion covers your account data and product content (Reach, Mail, Meet, Agents, Escalate). Audit logs and legally-required billing records are anonymized (not deleted) to preserve tax and legal compliance obligations.
2. Option 1, in-app deletion request
- Sign in to Amargi Reach.
- Open Settings -> Privacy (in the settings sidebar).
- Click "Delete my account and all data" in the red section, type the confirmation text exactly:
DELETE MY ACCOUNT AND ALL DATA. - A 7-day grace period begins, during which you can cancel from the same page. After the grace period a background worker performs the actual deletion.
- We will email you when the deletion completes.
This option is fastest and recommended. It creates a request automatically, cascades deletion across all of your organization tables, then anonymizes residual identity rows. Every step is recorded in the audit log.
3. Option 2, email request
If you cannot access your account (forgot password and lost access to the registered email), send an email to:

Data deletion request. - The email address registered with your account.
- (Optional) The organization name or id if your email is linked to multiple accounts.
We verify the request, may request additional identity confirmation if needed, and complete deletion within 30 days (most requests complete within a week).
4. What gets deleted
- User record (name, email, password hash, 2FA secrets).
- Organization record and any workspaces you owned.
- API keys and active sessions.
- Reach content: conversations, messages, notes, contacts (unified + per-channel), saved replies, auto-replies, business profiles, channel connections (Messenger, Instagram).
- Escalate content: tickets, ticket events, policies, business hours, routing queues, AI inferences.
- Mail configurations tied to your organization (forwarding, dispatches).
5. What is retained (with anonymization)
Some records cannot be deleted for legal reasons. We anonymize: identifying fields (email, name) are overwritten and links to your account are broken, but the row remains to demonstrate compliance.
- Invoices + billing records, tax law retention (typically 7 years).
- Audit logs, 12 months (linked to an anonymized organization).
- Encrypted backups, rotated within the backup schedule (typically 30 days).
6. Meta, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram rights
If you reached us through Meta platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform, Messenger, Instagram Direct), you can also trigger deletion via the standard Meta data-deletion callback. Our endpoint:

The endpoint accepts the standard Meta data-deletion-callback payload, queues the request for processing, and returns a status URL you can poll.
